Loading a vehicle Copy

Light items should be placed at the front of a vehicle and heavier items towards the back or over the axles.  Heavy items in the centre with lighter items on the sides.

When transporting goods over long distances the load could be subject to:

  • Vibration or rocking back and forth
  • Heat and cold
  • Bumping from other objects
  • Rough roads

You need to be able to make adjustments to the load if specific clearances are an issue

Make sure no part of the load is allowed to overhang
