The online Working at Heights Awareness course duration is 1 – 2 hours, depending on experience. Please read the overview, as this is a non-accredited course.
Overview of Working at Heights Online
This online course involves the knowledge required to work at heights in the workplace to prevent injuries. You will learn how to carry out your work in compliance with the relevant work health and safety (WHS) laws. Things we cover are how to select the correct equipment, what to check for during an inspection, steps to prevent falls, control measures to put in place and other important information about working at heights.
This course can be used as a refresher to meet the requirement of currency if you have completed the accredited course before and your employer is happy for you to do an unaccredited course (this course is non-accredited, meaning you get a Certificate of Completion, not a Statement of Attainment). One of the duties of a person conducting a business or undertaking (PCBU) is that the provision of information, training, instruction or supervision that is necessary to protect all persons from risks to their health and safety arising from work carried out as part of the conduct of the business or undertaking.
Please note this course is not the accredited course we deliver. The theory we cover is however very close to the knowledge part of the accredited course.
The course is designed by industry experts to train you on how to assess the risks associated with working at heights in the workplace, planning your work and how to carry out your work if you have to work at heights.
Who should do this course?
Workplaces and individuals who need to upskill themselves in working at heights to prevent injuries should do this course. This course also goes hand in hand with Confined Space Awareness.
Requirements
- You will need a computer device that meets the minimum requirements of LT Training’s online system (we support and recommend a modern desktop or laptop computers running Google Chrome web browser).
- You must ensure a good stable internet connection and ability of your device to play sound.
Outcomes:
On successful completion of this course, participants will be issued a certificate of completion stating the topics that are covered in the course.
